Grid Systems Tool

Creative Review had an article called 'The Grid on Screen' this month. It mentioned thegridsystem.org which is dedicated to all things graphic-grid related. This months article focused on an online tool that designers can used to design simple grids onscreen and then export to CSS stylesheets and HTML templates. This tool is the work of New York based web developer Rasmus Schultz.

For anyone looking for some typefaces to use on their FMP, this guy has created some great looking ones. Most you can download onto Mac or PC directly, though a couple require you to sign up at Myfonts.com. I think it's worth it.

Type Animation

Thought this might be useful for the statistics, animation brief that the first years are doing at the moment. Ways of animating type to portray information (these are created as pieces of kinetic typography for film sections but show more interesting ways which information could be portrayed in type instead of just fading in and out) ---> Kinetic Typography
