A Curated Conversation Hayley Potter and Marcela Alejandra.
Making the Unbelievable, Believable:Magical & Fictional Worlds in Visual Art

Very useful discussion on the boundaries of the real, fantastic and the other bits in between in visual storytelling (specifically story books).

Stat Counter

Hello!

Thought I would post this in case anyone wants to add it to their blog or website:

http://www.statcounter.com/

It is a stat counter that records traffic to your site. Its free (this means it only keeps information on the latest 500 hits to your page) or you can pay if you want it to keep older hits. Looks pretty cool. You sign up, go to my projects and add a project - you can have more than one so you could add to your blog or to website, or both. There are instructions on how to do it. It just generates code for you to paste into either an HTML gadget on your blog, or into your HTML on your website.

Wacky Inflatable Arm-Flaling Tube Men!

STOP! (hammertime)

I just got 10GB (yes GIGABYTES!) of web space and a pretty-much-free ".com" domain name from www.one.com for about £25 for 12 months of web hosting!

Say WHAT?!

Their prices are mental so check it out if you're looking to set up your own domain. My housemate got his domain off them last year and has never had any problems or spam or anything. They have a 24 hour live MSN Messenger-style help service, super-reliable servers and 5 star ratings from loads of magazines and reviewers and stuff.

That's www.one.com

Sorry for sounding like a really bad advert.

Ciao!

300 Million site

Thought some of you might like the main menu of this site - once you get past the intro bit which is a bit slow it is really nice ...

CSS Tutorials by video

Just done part one of lesson one and finding it really easy to follow and very helpful. All done by video as well.

Book Binding

I found this site this evening showing you how to make your own moleskin-like-notebook - it shows clearly how to stitch the individual signatures and then how to stitch the signatures together:

I came across this link on the formfiftyfive.com blog. They linked to his page...he is a graduate from a Vis Com course in Dublin. His work is really good, but also, he has linked under his About Me section to his colleagues sites as well. Thought it might be of interest as their work is of a really high standard!
